Introduction
On August 26th, 2022, I sat down (virtually) with Professor Joe Manning, William K. and Marilyn Milton Simpson Professor of Classics and History & Senior Research Scholar in Law, to discuss the ongoing effort to interpret Ancient Egyptian papyri as historical sources, his collaboration with climate scientists at the Yale Nile Initiative, and the relationship between the humanities and STEM at Yale and beyond.
